11th June 2006,
Accrobranch,
Nemours
Very early (11 am!) on a cheery and hot Sunday a group of approximately
30 Tarzan fans gathered at our various meeting places with one destination
in mind: Accrobranch at Nemours, near Fontainebleau. Before any action
took place, a picnic/barbecue gave us the necessary strength to cope
with what would later be called an unforgettably energetic and thrilling
experience. After some delicious food, a few drinks and a refreshing
water battle, we were all ready to climb, jump, slip, slide and glide
from tree to tree around the forest. Once we were all geared up in our
safety equipment, some of the more adventurous and brave tree climbers
headed directly to the intermediate stage while others thought it best
to test their courage and arm strength by starting at the ‘baby
level’. Three hours later, totally shattered, covered in grime
and sweat but extremely proud of our “monkey-imitating” day,
we gladly made our way back to a more civilised Paris!
